Amiens Cathedral survived the First World War unscathed and is a place of memory. Commemorative plaques and the flags of troops come to Amiens from all four corners of the world to fight recall that tragic page in the history of the 20th century. Notre-Dame also houses other works evocative of the conflict, including the famous Weeping Angel that travelled the world on postcards of the day.
As part of the celebrations for the 110th anniversary of the Battle of the Somme, guided tour in English of the cathedral, in the company of a qualified guide lecturer.
